• Make a slip knot
• Chain 10 (ends 0:40)
• Slip stitch to the first chain (ends 1:03)
• Chain 4 more (ends 1:26)
• Slip stitch to the first chain again (ends 1:38)
• Now you have 2 chain loops, like a figure 8. Going forward, work in the smaller of the 2 chain loops
• Chain 1, turn your work, and single crochet 5 times in the center of the chain loop (ends 2:24)
• Chain 1, turn your work, and single crochet 2 times in each stitch, ending with 10 stitches (and drop the video recording equipment for an unceremonious end). Scroll down to begin part 2.
